Wishing all VEDA devotees in the Bay Area and around the world a healthy and joyous New Year 2026. With Swamy’s grace, 2025 was a successful year; may you all continue to enjoy success and prosperity.
Significant developments are underway to enhance the temple’s environment. The Ālaya Saurabham (the beauty and fragrance of the temple premises) project is continuing with a budget of 1.6 million dollars. Multiple projects are in progress as we await city approvals. As part of this effort, we are adding 20 Stambhas (traditional pillars) around the temple. The construction of the Swarnamaya Hamsa Tulika Talpam (Golden Cradle) for Swami has been completed at a cost of more than 3.5 crores of rupees. Although we did not receive full sponsorship, with Lord Satyanarayana Swamy’s grace we completed the work. We now have daily Pavalimpu Seva in the new Talpam. Once the talpam for the temple is procured and arrives, we will perform Samprokshana (sancGficaGon) and use it for Swami’s Ekantha Seva, which will then become the nightly Pavalimpu Seva. A new project is also underway to construct 108 gold pendants (Golden Kasula Haram) for Swamy. So far, 90 pendants have been sponsored by devotees, and we await sponsorship for the remaining ones.
We have newly consecrated Vigraha PraGshthas (installations of deiGes) for Sri Gayathri Devi, Lakshmi Hayagriva Swamy, Lord Dhanvantara, Lord Da]atreya, Sri Madhvacharya, Kala Bhairava Vigraha, Garutmanta Vigraha, and a Bali Peetham. Many devotees sponsored and made the consecraGon event a great success. The full credit goes to the devotees, temple management staff, and all the priests, with Swami’s grace.
This development is spearheaded by our current president, Sri Gopal Ajjarapu garu, and the board members Sri Tadepalli Padmanabham, Sri Ghankota Ravi, and Sri Ravi Koduri, along with Vice President Sri Cheemakurthi Sai Bhaskar. Our ambiGon is to evolve the Vedic EducaGon and DevoGonal Academy (VEDA) into a comprehensive university program for the community and interested students, with various departments. We have completed Chandi SaptasaG (three Gmes) and finished two installments of the 12-week astrology course. Weekly Tuesday Sundara Kanda classes at 7:30 pm have begun, designed as a four-year course. Veda Sukta classes and puja classes are ongoing, and interested students can enquire at the temple to join. Additionally, VEDA conducts regular scripture and teaching classes for children. The Veda BharaG library, managed by Sri Devarakonda Srinivas Garu, is funcGoning well on our premises. I convey my respect to Veda Asthana Avadhana Brahma Paladugu Sricharan Garu for his dedicaGon and providing guidance to the temple.the benefit of voGng for board members and a complimentary archana every month. The VEDA Annual Calendar provides essenGal details such as Tithi, Vāram, Nakshatram, Varjyam, Rāhukalam, Durmūhurtam, eclipse Gmings, auspicious days, and other star predicGons required for daily rituals and personal needs. I recommend consulGng your family priest or astrologer for muhūrthas for significant ceremonies. We aim to conGnue providing such invaluable priestly services at VEDA, enriching lives with Vedic chants and rituals. I convey my hearkelt blessings to Dr. Srinivas Vadrevu and his family for their commitment to the calendar preparaGon.
I express my humble graGtude to the 2025 VEDA president, Chimakurthi garu, Treasurer Devarakonda Srinivas garu, Human Resources in-charge Duvvuri Surya Garu, and the rest of the management team, as well as the VEDA board members. I also thank the VEDA executive team, Election Commissioner Rao Tallapragada garu and team. The remarkable growth of the temple is due to the hard work, commitment, and dedicaGon of the ExecuGve Commi]ee, alongside numerous new and longstanding volunteers. This includes the efforts of the flower team, who diligently create beautiful garlands for the deiGes, and the kitchen volunteers, who assist with vital arrangements.
